Safera Sense Wi-Fi
Prevents kitchen fires and sends a remote alarm
With Safera Sense Wi-Fi stove guard you can use your own stove as usual – but much safer. Sense will turn off the stove for you, should you forget to leave it on or if it overheats.
The remote alarm feature allows you to take care of your loved ones remotely. The Safera Sense Wi-Fi sends email and SMS alarms via the Safera Cloud service.
Sense’s default settings are suitable for most kitchens out-of-the box. You can also download the free Safera App mobile application that guides you step by step through the installation process. Sense meets the requirements of the European stove guard standard EN 50615 in all mounting locations.
Take care of your loved ones – even when you’re not close by
The safety of your loved ones might be a concern, especially if they live alone.
When Sense Wi-Fi shuts off the cooker, it will also send a remote alarm by email and SMS so you can quickly verify that your loved ones are well. The cause of an alarm should be determined, especially if it occurs frequently.
To setup remote alarms choose one of the Safera Cloud packages below.
Choose a Safera Cloud package for your needs
The Safera Sense Wi-Fi sends the remote alarms via the Safera Cloud service.
Use the free Safera mobile app to connect the Sense to the Wi-Fi network and create a Safera Cloud account with two options:
Personal package is free and includes email alarms. SMS alarms are offered for a monthly fee.
Care Team package with a monthly fee includes free SMS alarms. It is designed for care institutions and for controlling the alarm settings of several stove guards.
Safera Care Team for care professionals
When Safera Sense disconnects the power to a stove, it can send an SMS to a phone.
The care staff, their supervisor or a nurse can visit the resident to check what triggered the alarm and whether the resident is safe. If necessary, the nurse might discuss with the resident how such a hazard can be avoided in the future.
In care home, alarms must reach the right people at the right time
Tailored for care professionals, the Care Team service allows you to group stove guards and configure separate alarm settings for each group. This means the alarms that belong to the group reach exactly the right care professionals at the right time.
The monthly fee for the Care Team service also includes SMS alarms. Contact us to learn more about the Care Team package.
Get real-time alarms to your telecare systems with API
Set up API in Safera Cloud and you will get alarms and notifications to your telecare system in real-time. Safera Sense will also send user and device information and a daily data package including air quality measurements from past 24 hours via API. For further information, see API settings in Safera Cloud.
Do you want to know if a loved one is using their stove in an unusual way – such as at night?
Sense Wi-Fi will detect if a stove is being used at night or if the stove remains unused for several days.
To enable notifications on unusual usage patterns, visit the Safera Cloud. A sudden change in routines might indicate changes in the cognitive capabilities of an elderly person, for example. The quicker you react to changed patterns, the better you can care for your loved ones.
Easy to install also in an existing stove
Safera Sense can be installed in your own, familiar stove. The stove guard comes with two parts: the sensor unit, which monitors the status of the stove, and the power control unit, which controls the supply of power to the stove. The units communicate with each other wirelessly.
There are two installation methods:
Quick installation: Sense’s default settings are suitable for most kitchens as is. Connect the power control unit to the stove and use the adhesive sticker to mount the sensor on the wall or on the bottom surface of the extractor hood, and you’re done!
Installation wizard: Download the free Safera App and follow the installation guide from start to finish. The app helps you ensure that your stove guard is installed perfectly for your stove and kitchen.

Features
The most effective way of preventing kitchen fires. Safera Sense senses danger before it’s too late. Safera Sense can sound an alarm and disconnect the power from the stove before a cooking fire breaks out. Sense meets the requirements of the European stove guard standard EN 50615.
Remote alarm by SMS. When you connect Sense to a Wi-Fi network, you can configure up to five phone numbers and email addresses to which Safera Sense will send remote alarms. You can manage the settings, phone numbers and addresses easily in the free Safera Cloud service.
The Safera Cloud service. Safera Sense is the only stove guard that allows you to manage its alarm settings remotely in a browser. The free Safera Cloud service allows you to select the recipients of a remote alarm and whether Safera should send the alarm by SMS or email, or both. SMS alarms are offered for a monthly fee. For care institutions, we offer the Safera Care Team service which enables the alerts of the stove guards to be managed per configured croup. The monthly fee for the Care Team service also includes SMS alarms. Contact us to learn more about the Care Team package and its monthly fee.
The smartest stove guard on the market. The Safera stove guard is the only solution that prevents cooking fires effectively but does not interfere with the cooking itself. Safera contains advanced artificial intelligence that creates a digital model of the usage patterns of the stove based on the uniquely precise data provided by the sensor. This means Safera can understand – and also predict – what will happen on the stove.
Easiest and fastest to install. A battery-operated sensor unit with a one-year battery life. Pre-paired wireless two-way connection between the sensor unit and the power control unit (2.4 GHz). Identifies the type of stove and location of the sensor automatically.
Advanced self-diagnostics. Safera Sense continuously monitors its condition. If the sensor unit is disabled, its batteries are not replaced in time or if the self-diagnostics feature notices other shortcomings that affect the safety of the stove, Safera Sense cuts off the power to the stove.
Easy to use. Safety is completely automated and the stove guard does not require any actions from the user. Alarm messages can be handled simply with a push of a button. The unique multicolour LED display clearly indicates the status of the stove guard.
Widely compatible. Compatible with most household electric stoves (induction, ceramic, cast iron) and with 1- and 3-phase power input. Select the suitable unit based on the power supply and stove type, see comparison here.
A smart part of a smart home. The Safera stove guard can be connected as a part of the automation or smart home system, in which case the alert and fault data can be sent to a mobile phone, for example.
Configurable. To improve safety even further, consider the following accessories: Safera water leak sensor.
